Without any kind of introduction or explanation, my booklets may seem a little confusing. Therefore, I wanted to include some content at the beginning.
Spreading the information out
Keeping in line with the rest of the booklet, this page was used to introduce the thoughts and ideas behind it, the problems faced by students when it comes to finance, and ways in which this can be tackled. This is a much needed addition to solving the problem, as it states how no one is trying to say that from time to time you can't buy "unnecessary" items, however, it is just trying to show you what you could be getting for the same cost and how this could benefit your course and practice.
In previous feedback, it was also suggested that pages could be included that displayed printing costs, and paper sizes, as this would also be useful to students on the course. Printing also involves money, and paper sizes is related to this. Cost depends on size, and if you cut your paper wrong, you also run the risk of losing money.
Adding these into the booklet is a clever idea, as it gives the students more of a reason to keep hold of the book. Paper sizes is something that myself and my peers are constantly having to look up, and it's always handy to have printing costs on your person, instead of having to venture downstairs to work out how much it's going to cost you. By having this, the student would be able to calculate how much they're approximately going to have to save in order to be able to purchase their prints. This could be done by cutting back on the unnecessary.
In addition to this, a page towards the back of the booklet will be included to show a range of stores where you can receive discount simply for being a student. So if you're going to spend on unnecessary items, which is inevitable, you may as well get it at a cheaper price. As well as this, there are stores included in there where you can purchase some of the necessary items.
