INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE

1) What is industrial experience?
- seeing designers in a working environment/professional working area
- gaining knowledge and understanding of how the practice runs and works outside of education
- preparation for when you get put out into "the real world"
- insight into the graphic design industry
- learning about processes and seeing all the different variations of print
- studio visits
- developing professional skills

2) How do you get industrial experience?
- visits with university, going to the printers and gaining experience there
- through work placements
- learning processes within uni/talking to peers/those in industry
- going to events, exhibition and so on, putting yourself out there
- word of mouth
- visiting companies, enquiring, emailing companies

3) What are you concerned about?
- worrying that my work isn't good enough
- not being confident enough to enquire and ask questions
- not knowing what to specialise in - what area/company suits me?
- nervous to ask 
- messing up/getting it all wrong
