After the crit, I was still a little confused as to where to take the idea, so I decided to brainstorm some possible products with my peers in order to gain some inspiration. As I was looking at unnecessary and necessary items that graphic design students purchase, the most efficient idea seemed to be splitting the costs up into three sections, allowing me to produce three outcomes designed specifically for a particular price range.
£0 - 5
£5 - 10
£10 +
In order to get a relevant and appropriate list of unnecessary items that art and design students find themselves purchasing, I sent out an e-mail asking for a list of at least 10 products. I could then compare and contrast these answers and find correlations between them.

From these results, it is obvious to see what people generally waste their money on - alcohol, sandwiches, transport, clothes, snacks and eating out. I will therefore categorise these into the price ranges and use these as the main basis of my work.
